KeyPlex Iron is a formulation of chelated iron.
KeyPlex Iron is a formulation of chelated iron. It contains alpha-keto acids, which may facilitate utilization of micronutrients, and increase resistance to environmental stress. KeyPlex Iron is formulated for foliar and soil application to prevent and correct iron deficiency in plants when used as directed.
KeyPlex Iron, when added to the spray tank water, will lower the water pH, and can be used in combination with pesticides. However, in unfamiliar mixtures use a “jar compatibility” test.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
FOLIAR APPLICATION: GOLF TURF Apply as a spray, 1.5 to 2 fluid ounces of KeyPlex Iron in 1 to 2.5 gallons of water per 1,000 square feet of surface area. Foliar assimilation of KeyPlex Iron is enhanced by the addition of spray grade urea as a tank mix at the rate of 1 to 1.5 ounces per 1000 square feet. Applications are recommended every 7 to 14 days. Apply as a spray, 1 to 2 quarts of KeyPlex Iron in 40 to 100 gallons of water per acre. Foliar assimilation of KeyPlex Iron is enhanced by the addition of spray grade urea as a tank mix at the rate of 2 to 5 pounds per acre. Applications are recommended every 21 to 45 days. Apply as a spray as runners begin forming, 1 to 2 quarts of KeyPlex Iron in 40 to 100 gallons of water per acre. See urea recommendations above under Fairways. Applications are recommended every 30 to 45 days. Dilute 1 quart of KeyPlex Iron in 100 gallons of water, and spray to runoff. Adding 1 pound of urea or potassium nitrate per 100 gallons of water will aid in leaf assimilation.
DRENCH: Mix 1 quart or KeyPlex Iron per 100 gallons of water and drench into soil for iron deficiency correction. Several applications may be required.
